After transitioning from a career in sales, I pursued woodworking with a focus on precision and innovation. Utilizing both traditional tools like a 1950s ShopSmith with a custom duplicator and modern CNC technology (ShopBot, Vega lathe), I’ve produced high-quality architectural elements, including:
- Historic Restoration: Hundreds of custom balusters for historic homes in Hinsdale, St. Charles, and Batavia.
- Architectural Detailing: Replicated Chicago Temple’s limestone wall design for a security desk, requiring precise 3D modeling.
- Custom Carvings: Hand-carved and CNC-produced scrollwork for high-end residential projects, including a dentist’s marble-floored home.
- Specialty Items: Heart-shaped aromatic cedar boxes, sculptural ash wood pieces (salvaged from Emerald Ash Borer-damaged trees), and laser-engraved designs with high-resolution detail.
Now expanding into V-Carving and advanced laser engraving, I combine traditional craftsmanship with digital precision for unique, high-quality woodwork.
